About Us
Promoting the accreditation of One Health trainees
One Health
The One Health approach recognizes that all sectors must work together to achieve optimal health of animals, the environment, and humans. One Health brings together multiple sectors and disciplines to achieve better public health outcomes.
One Health Workforce Academies
The One Health Workforce Academies’ (OHWA) mission is to promote the development, delivery, institutionalization, accreditation, and employer recognition of training and educational activities in alignment with One Health core competencies and technical skills.
International Board of One Health Examiners
The International Board of One Health Examiners (IBOHE) shall ensure that One Health trainees, practitioners, and professionals have mastered the foundational knowledge and skills relevant to contemporary One Health. This purpose will be accomplished by administering a voluntary certification examination and maintenance of the One Health certification program.
Network Partners
The One Health Workforce Academies infrastructure was originally developed with the support of USAID One Health Workforce – Next Generation Project and has received additional support over time from the University of California Global Health Institute and the UC Davis One Health Institute. The consortium of public and private partners is currently working towards long-term sustainability for this online platform. We have involved over 90 countries in learning activities to date.
