One Health Course Enrollment Opportunity

We are pleased to inform you that enrollment for two asynchronous online courses is now open.

The courses described below are designed for completion by learners who aspire to acquire One Health competencies. The courses serve as continuing professional development for in-service professionals working in various One Health sectors, and are also suitable for students pursuing professional, graduate, and undergraduate degrees. There are no prerequisites to enrollment.

Fundamentals of One Health Practice

Fundamentals of One Health Practice includes 3 online modules delivered by experts from around the world. These modules will introduce essential competencies of One Health. Learners should expect to dedicate 4-6 hours working on the modules to successfully complete this course.

Outbreak Investigation and Response

This dynamic training course spans 11 online modules and provides a basic introduction to the principles and concepts of a comprehensive One Health approach to investigating the origins or cause of a zoonotic disease outbreak or other disease event in animals or people. Learners can expect to dedicate 12-20 hours working on the modules to successfully complete this course.

Open enrollment will be available until December 15th, 2022. Once enrolled, trainees will complete the courses at their own pace during the period of January 2, 2023, through March 1, 2023.

Enrollees will be participants in a pilot program and data will be collected for course evaluative purposes. Tuition will be waived for pilot participants, and successful trainees will receive a certificate of completion which will help demonstrate preparedness for the OHWA One Health Certification process planned for 2023.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please enroll by December 15th. If you are unable to participate at this time, please expect future correspondence regarding additional opportunities to enroll in these and new courses in 2023.
