Oladele “Dele” Ogunseitan, PhD

Training and Empowerment Working Group Lead

Dr. Oladele (Dele) Ogunseitan is the advisor of the One Health Workforce-Next Generation Training and Empowerment working group. Dele leads a working group that works with the One Health Workforce network partners to help develop, deliver, and institutionalize training and educational offerings in alignment with prioritized One Health core competencies and technical skills.

Oladele Ogunseitan (‘dele) is Professor and founding chair of the Department of Population Health & Disease Prevention at the University of California, Irvine. Dele researches the intersection of industrial development and environmental quality to discover solutions to problems that contribute to societal burden of disease. In addition to his work as a professor, Dele has served as a co-chair for the Green Chemistry Advisory Board of Apple, Inc, Hoover Medical Board of Award, and the University of California Global health Institute. He holds a Ph.D in Microbiology from University of Tennessee, and a Master’s in Public Health from University of California, Berkeley.
