Dr. William Bazeyo is the is the Chief Executive Officer of the African One Health University Network (AFROHUN) and is the current Dean of Makerere University, School of Public Health. As a physician, public health specialist, and researcher, he has focused on occupational health and strengthening the resilience of communities through education and innovative approaches. Professor William Bazeyo has been teaching at the Makerere University for more than 20 years and has don research and published in several areas including Healthcare Financing and Leadership and One Health. In 2005, Prof. Bazeyo was among the key instrumental pillars that formed the USAID-funded program, HEALTH Alliance (Higher Education Alliance for Leadership Training for Health). Prof. William Bazeyo has organized a summit of 14 deans of School of Public Health and School of Veterinary Medicine representing 6 countries. Prof. William Bazeyo is praised for is contributions to the transformation of the region through research, nurturing upcoming innovators, mentoring students, and resource mobilization for Africa to name a few.
